Marie Elaina White

Marie Elaina White, age 71, of Wilmington, Delaware,  passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at her home in Wilmington, Delaware

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alan White, and daughter, Anne Marie White. Marie is survived by her son, Robert Anthony White, and wife, Lori; sisters, Theresa (Terry) DiTomasso and Lucy Kendrick; grandchildren, Giovanna, Anthony, and Hannah White; nephews, Labron and Lane Kendrick; along with her best friend, Lula Curry. Marie was born April 19, 1952, in Wilmington, Delaware. She was the loving daughter of Roland and Theresa DiTomasso. She became happily married to her husband, Robert White, on October 10, 1970. Marie graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1971, surrounded by the many friends she made during those years. Marie was an outstanding employee at Delaware Park for over 30 years. During her time there, she began working for Simoff Horse Transport doing payroll and taking on administrative duties. Through her work, she positively impacted many lives while forging new friendships that would last a lifetime. Marie loved playing bingo with the friends she made in her community; she always loved winning big. She enjoyed doing luncheons with the girls at her favorite restaurant, Tony and Dominics. Marie was very active in her community and was loved by everyone there. Her beautiful smile and memorable laugh will be missed by all her friends and family but still present in their hearts. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Dupont Street, Wilmignton, on Friday April 5th, 2024 at 10:30am.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Interment will be held privately and the Convenience of the family.
