Christopher Alexander Ciccarelli

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Christopher Alexander Ciccarelli, who left this world far too soon at the age of 39.

Christopher was born on September 19, 1986, in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a proud graduate of Howard High School of Technology and carried a strong work ethic with him throughout his life. Chris found his passion in the kitchen, where he truly came alive. Cooking was more than a career for him—it was how he expressed himself. As a talented chef, he worked in many establishments throughout Delaware, leaving his mark not only through his food but through the laughter and energy he brought wherever he went.

Chris was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. Win or lose, that was his team, no questions asked. He had a playful spirit and a sharp sense of humor, known best as a practical joker who kept everyone guessing. You never quite knew what he was going to do next, but you always knew it would make you laugh. His smile, wit, and ability to lighten even the heaviest moments will be deeply missed.  Above all, Chris loved his family fiercely. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Albert and Christine Ciccarelli; his siblings, Victoria, Daniel, Francesca (Christian), Alex  and Chantal; and the true lights of his life, his nephew and niece, Frankie and Cleo. He is also survived by his  paternal grandparents, William and Gloria Ciccarelli, along with a large and loving circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Christopher’s life reminds us of the importance of laughter, connection, and compassion. His absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express, but his memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the meals cooked in his honor, and the love he gave so freely.
